Another year, brings new chances!

Another year with the same mission; finding a cure for type 1 diabetes! This year we aim for raising 100.000 EUR. Last year my dad, our cuddly Golden Retriever Charlie and myself walked 12.5km and raised almost 1.500 EUR!

As many of you know I have joined the board of JDRF Netherlands since last year to be working on JDRF' mission and so I can make sure to be part of creating an impact all together. Although I'll not be walking this year, and therewith symbolically walking from type one to type none, I'll of course be present to support JDRF's One Walk 2023 event on Saturday the 10th of June. The walk will take place at Stadslandgoed de Kemphaan in Almere: a free festival full of experts, inspiration and activities for young and old - all about type 1 diabetes.

From noon to 5pm, everyone is welcome to come and enjoy a vibrant festival afternoon with family, partner and friends, including sports clinics, various festival activities, question-and-answer sessions with scientists, the mobile JDRF diabetes exhibition and – of course – the One Walk.

By participating in this One Walk with us, you'll symbolically walk from type one to type none for a world without type 1 diabetes! Before June 10, we will also raise funds together for worldwide scientific research into the prevention, cure and better treatment of type 1 diabetes.
